Well captured piece of this part of the public spaces in the hotel. Terry makes a good point about museums also being buildings that often display innovative interior and exterior design. Unfortunately, in the case of hotels, the guests tend to spend relatively little time in those grand public spaces, opting for the less exciting and uplifting privacy to their rooms.
I agree! The grand hotels around the world always have some features (sometimes many) that are just lovely. I really love the architecture here and the design of the hanging lights. I don't know why I like light fixtures so much, but I do. This is a fantastic shot, and yes - it generally pays off well to look up.
