I Have Fish

I have fish in both ponds. These are in the upper pond. I'm most excited to have a white butterfly Koi. That was one of the first kind of Koi I had long ago. The blue heron attacked it and killed it. Now I have another one. It is so peaceful to sit and watch all of the fish as they swim around and go after the food. If you look carefully you will see six fish in this shot. Some have black on them so it's difficult to always see them.

4 weeks agoHow very cool to have a Koi pond! I used to have a set water aquarium that I could sit and watch for hours! So I understand when you say is so relaxing to watch them! Great shots of these guys I hope we’ll see more!

4 weeks agoI'm sure you are extra-happy to have koi again. My niece had problems (in Las Vegas!) of a GB Heron going after her pond fish. Fingers crossed that yours are safe! (She ended up getting a motion-activated sprinkler that would go off right there if a heron flew in---of course it got the boys once in awhile too! ;-)

4 weeks agoMy sister has a Koi pond, its so relaxing to just sit and watch. They have a metal screen over part of their pond to keep the heron and raccoons away.
